It is buzzing around the boards now that John Thompson has accepted a position as Defensive Coordinator for the Gamecocks. I am happy for JT the man, but this is the type of decision that help Steve Spurrier find the door in Washington. Why in the world would he hire a DC that gave up 40 plus points in five games last year?
If you blame that on a talent deficit, then why would you hire a guy who cannot evaluate talent or scheme well?
Should be interesting.
