The Associated Press reports that Donnie Kirkpatrick has been named wide receivers coach at East Carolina, Pirates football coach Skip Holtz announced Monday in a news release.
Kirkpatrick, 45, served as wide receivers coach at Western Carolina from 2003-04. He was at Chattanooga from 1998-2002, the head coach from 2000-02.
"We are fortunate to have someone of Donnie's caliber on our staff," Holtz said in the release. "His familiarity with the state of North Carolina will also give us another boost in our recruiting efforts."
