Zook or Ford?

I'm glad that we're having to choose between such highly qualified candidates. Terry Holland's presence has certainly lifted the allure of our prized institution.

That said, I think you've got to side with Ford. When looking at two qualified candidates, you've got to pick the one who's won the national championship (1981). The only potential drawback is that Ford has been out of the game too long to still coach competitively. It's a risk Pirate Nation should be willing to take.

If it turns out the report (registration required) isn't true, I won't be that upset to have Ron Zook on the sidelines. He's a proven recruiter and he's beaten some bigname teams (FSU, UGA mostly recently.) Florida's bravado got the best of them by firing him way too early.
