On the bright side

I know we lost, but this was a great game for the Pirates. Perhaps a seminal moment in the rebirth of our program. Color me impressed.

Given the rushing sieve we displayed against Wake Forest, I assumed WVU would run all over us. But, we limited the Mountaineers to 127 yards on the ground. Just 102 yards of total offense in the 2nd half. That's just phenomenal. Master Jedi Holtz clearly knows how to look at the tape and learn from his mistakes.

I can't remember the last time the Pirates looked this much better following a bad loss. Certainly never under "Weak Suck" Thompson. And Steve Logone was never known for his game-to-game adjustments.

An upset of Southern Miss is certainly attainable.
