Yes, Holland answered, and ECU’s athletic director admitted to trying to get that ball rolling.

“We would’ve liked to have been able to get Greg in the mix of that dance, but that didn’t work out this particular time,” Holland said.

Wait a minute? You’re willing to let Hudson, the man who helped engineer the third-best defense in Conference USA, go?

Sure, Holland answered:

“As long as you’re losing guys to better positions, you’re going to have your pick of the litter when it comes to replacement.”
