Pirates Take Cargo Ship, Crew Off Somalia

Nice to see alumni working hard in Africa. The spread on this hijacking was eight crew members, so we covered easily:

(AP) Pirates in Somalia hijacked a cargo ship with dozens of foreign crew members reportedly on board, officials said Tuesday.

The attackers seized the ship late Monday in the waters off the war-battered capital, Mogadishu, said Paddy Ankunda, a Somalia spokesman for the African Union, which has peacekeepers at the city's port.

The story went on to say that pirate attacks worldwide jumped 14 percent in the first nine months of 2007. Arrrrrrrgggghhh!

Damn...I knew that guy looked familiar. Some people go their whole lives not truly knowing what they want to be when they grow up...the great thing about being a Pirate is you never have to.
