Pirates in Paradise

I lived in Hawaii for three years -- three of the most wonderful years of my life. It’s everything the postcards make it out to be. The picture above is where the pirate James Cook landed, paving the way for the haole invasion.

Because of my ties to the Islands (a made a few calls to some Samoans who don’t fuck around), I can guarantee a Pirate victory against No. 22 Boise State.

It’s a lock.

We enter as 11-point underdogs, a position we thrive in. I feel much better about this than I would if we were 11-point favorites. Teams need to learn how to win, and this game will do that for Skip Holtz’s squad. After we walk away with a victory in paradise against a ranked team, we will parlay it into a great 2008.
