Hudgins Quits ECU Football Team

The Rocky Mount Telegram reports that freshman Terrell Hudgins, who was named the athlete of the year in North Carolina by The Associated Press, has quit the team after being switched from QB to DB.

After breaking nearly every passing record in Rocky Mount High School history, Hudgins accepted a scholarship offer with ECU in late January. ECU was the only Division I school to offer Hudgins a scholarship. Division I-AA Elon also made an offer, and Division II Elizabeth City State showed interest as well.

It is too bad...especially since he signed with ECU as an Athlete and knew full well he would not be a QB. Even said as much when I interviewed him for the forthecoming Bonesville Magazine.

Anway...wish him luck, but the Pirate train looks to be powering up and we don't need anyone on it that is not 100% on board.
