ECU 7, Southern Miss 33

Private First Class Holtz needs to teach his boys how to hang on to the football:

Turnovers took their toll on the Pirates right out of the chute, when a fumble by quarterback James Pinkney two minutes into the game led to a Golden Eagles field goal. The Pirates' next scoring drive, in which they gained 49 quick yards, ended with Pinkney losing a fumble on the 7-yard line.
Perhaps, the Fort Worth Bowl's a little out of our reach.

This was an embarrasing loss. Especially considering our play against WVU last week.

Going in, I thought Vegas should have been as generous to the Pirates as Sagarin was, but I never expected to get whipped like that.

I think we win next week and cover.
