The Valdosta Daily Times tries to drag the Pirates into the NCAA fracas over Native American mascots:
"... Why hasn’t the pirate lobby screamed “Aargh” about the East Carolina Pirate or the Charleston Southern Buccaneers? And Lionel Ritchie has to be irked that Vanderbilt took his band’s name and then gets creamed every time they take the field."
