Great coaching

Now look, I definitely got caught up in the John Thompson faux excitement, so I hate to harp on every coach's comments. That guy clearly talked the talk, but didn't walk the walk. Success is measured on the field with wins and losses, not by good sound bites.

That said, I just love reading stuff like this from secondary coach Rick Smith:

“We’re just trying to help them understand that if you want to be successful in life, you’ve got to do everything right,” he said. “If you want to be a man, then you’re going to be treated like one. A man does what he’s supposed to do, when he’s supposed to do it, how he’s supposed to do it. And if he doesn’t he’s going to pay the price.”
Sounds great. I'm looking forward to next week's game to see if everyone does their job.

By the way, I predict Wake beats Nebraska today and we beat 'em next week. Meaning, of course, that the Pirates will have effectively beat Nebraska. We're back, baby.
