UAB's 17-12 victory Saturday was made possible only by an almost inconceivable East Carolina gaffe. And that's a bold statement.
Phillip Henry charged toward the UAB end zone with the football and an East Carolina victory in his hands with a minute to play, and somehow, on the UAB goal line, the ball was popped out of the junior's hands and into the end zone to allow the Blazers to preserve the most improbable of victories.

Matt...is your memory so short? We lost to Carolina, essentially, the same way. Art Brown, after 99 yards of what would have been a 100 yard KO return for TD, had the same thing happen...popped out through the endzone, TB for UNC. We lose by 3.
In fairness, UAB fumbled twice inside our 10 yard line. We should have not been in it at all. Sucks because we desperately needed this one.
That was a heartbreak. One Silver lining: We covered yet again.
