East Carolina upsets N.C. State, 75-69

GREENVILLE — Sam Hinnant and East Carolina gave the crowd of 7,623 in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum a lasting memory on Saturday night with a 75-69 win over N.C. State, the Pirates’ first-ever victory over an ACC men’s basketball team.

Hinnant had 30 points, including a 3-pointer with 2:13 to go that put the Pirates ahead to stay at 67-64.
