Vegas says the Pirates will beat the Rice Owls by a mere five points. USA Today's Sagarin computer rating paints a worse picture again.
Saragin has ECU at No. 107 with a 61.45 rating. Rice is No. 97 with a 63.30. Because of home-field advvantage (worth 3.38), the Pirates figure to win a nail-biter by 1.53 points.
I think ECU should win by much more. If they don't, then I may not wait until Week 9 to call for a firing.
